The Andrée Blouin Cultural Center in Kinshasa aims to promote and disseminate Congolese and African cultures, arts, and knowledge in all their dimensions. A platform offered to the masses in general and to young people in particular, it offers free meetings and conferences, film screenings, educational programs, exhibitions and community activities throughout the year.
Aether Strategies was responsible for designing and developing the branding and identity of the center. We created the communication materials. We also created the center’s website:

Challenge
Kinshasa faces several socio-cultural challenges:
Lack of accessible cultural infrastructure: There are insufficient places for cultural expression, limiting the creativity and development of young people.
High unemployment among young people: The lack of professional opportunities in the creative sectors exacerbates unemployment.
Devaluation of local culture: Congo’s rich cultural heritage is threatened by globalization and the lack of intergenerational transmission.
Insecurity and juvenile delinquency: The lack of structured activities exposes young people to risky behavior.
Weak support for local artists: Cultural creators lack technical, financial support and visibility.
Solutions Provided
Faced with these challenges, we positioned CCAB as a space for creation, training and cultural dissemination. Here are the main solutions we provided:
A multidisciplinary space: Creation of an open space for music, theater, dance, visual arts, cinema and digital arts.
Training and education programs: Offer workshops, masterclasses and educational programs to develop artistic and professional skills.
Talent incubator: Detection and support of young talents through scholarships, artistic residencies, competitions and exhibitions.
Promotion of Congolese culture: Organization of shows and exhibitions highlighting Congolese and African cultural heritage.
Community center: A place of exchange and social cohesion, promoting interaction between different communities.
Impact
The CCAB aims to impact Congolese society on several levels:
For young people: Better socio-economic inclusion through training and professional opportunities in the cultural sector.
For culture: Preservation and promotion of Congolese cultural heritage through innovative projects and artistic productions.
For Congolese society: Reduction of delinquency, strengthening of the social fabric and emergence of a more inclusive and creative society.
For the local economy: Stimulation of the cultural and creative industry, job creation and development of cultural tourism.
